Updates:

11/14/2010 - More exciting news about the BCC Literary Magazine Breaking Ground: our Spring 2010 issue (discussed below) has won a Gold Award in the 2010 international awards competition sponsored by MarCom Awards. The award is an international creative competition “that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals.” There were almost 5,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada, and other countries in the 2010 competition. The Association of Marketing & Communication Professionals, which administers and judges the contest, fosters and supports the efforts of creative professionals who contribute their unique talents to public service and charitable organization. AMCP is based in Arlington, Texas.

Here is the cover I designed for the magazine: 2010 Breaking Ground Cover
Back cover artwork by Brian Shafer. Front cover artwork by Sayumi Miura.
My only restrictions were the front and back cover pictures and the font. The color, textures, and layout were created and arranged by me.
